Antique German Standing Papier-Mache Rabbit. This gorgeous rabbits was hand made in Germany using a traditional using a process that is over 100 years old and still used today. Head comes off to reveal a hollow carboard body that can be filled with sweets.
Entirely hand painted, this rabbit is a beautiful example of a style which is still replicated and beloved by collectors. Circa 1950s.
Some small signs of shelf wear and a tiny hole in the outer layer of paper on the base, revealing the paper interior. Overall good condition.
